Sephira | 2008

The cover image of 2DArtist Magazine for issue #36, commissioned as the third part of a workshop on painting the human face.

Sephira is a potential character from the sequel to Convivium by Andrew E. Maugham, currently being written. You may notice a resemblance to another one of my characters from the book, and it's done on purpose.

Her name is the singular form of Sephiroth, of which there are - according to lore - ten good and ten bad ones. They are "a devine emenation through which God manifested His existence in the creation of the Universe. They are without limits; the infinity of the Beginning, and the infinity of the End..."
