Image Usage

You may not use my work for RPG purposes, stationary, tubes, signatures, avatars, website designs, journal layouts, banners, buddy icons, or anything (else) that is classed as online freebies. That doesn't mean you can sell it, either.

You may show my work on your website or in your journal/blog, but not for commercial gain or to promote yourself or your own work. You have to add the proper copyright - ©Nykolai Aleksander - somewhere on the page, or link back to www.admemento.com. Please do not alter the paintings in any way except resizing. Adding 'decorative' borders or text, manipulating, changing colours or cropping the image is not okay.

Please only show five paintings at a time, and do not hotlink. Save and upload them to your own server.

Should I find any person or website failing to comply to these simple terms, I will not hesitate to take legal action if the situation requires it.

Commissions & Commercial Licenses

If you wish to commission me, you may contact me with your enquiry. Please keep in mind I do not work for free, and may not have the time to start working on your commission immediately. If you are on a deadline, let me know in your enquiry.

If you wish to purchase a commercial license for one or more of my paintings, please contact me for pricing.

Quick Q&A

What programs and tablet do you use?

Photoshop CS and a Wacom Intuos 2.

How long does it take you to paint one piece?

Usually between three days and two weeks.

Do you use photo references?

Yes, and preferrably my own. But I don't stick to them too closely, unless I paint a portrait of an actual person.

What brushes do you use most?

The default hard round paintbrush and a set of custom textured brushes. ( you may download these here along with some other freebees from one of my tutorials )

Can you teach me how to paint?

I could, but won't, for a very simple reason: I don't have the time to teach people individually, and i am not a particularly good teacher. Sorry.

Could you critique my work, give some tips?

Generally I don't, but every now and then I do... luck of the draw, I'm afraid. Bribes have been known to work, too... ;)
